with me is ron reagan and dana milbank of the "washington post." before we talk about the gop split, we should republicans in the white house have exchanged horses. that's the thought i have. i may be conservative about this. >> yeah, i think you're right, they'd like to, but i'm not sure they can get it done before christmas, maybe before the end of the year. i think, again, as we get down to the last few hours, i think then you will see a real push to get something done. as dana implied, everybody knows in a sense what this agreement in broad strokes is going to look like. we're going to have tax increases on the upper 2% and we're not going to have a tax increase on the middle class. and there's going to be some spending cuts. but that's, you know, that's about all we know. >> let's take a look at this fight that seems to be emerging on the right. it's not surprising. to some extent it may be represented on the left, but i don't think so. republicans fall into two camps. on fiscal reform and the question of the cliff. the realists we'll call the
